ELISE S2/ VX(T) VHP OE UNIT CONVERSION
Using a selection of the latest turbine architecture VHP pumps available, we can completely rework your OE pump unit to supply sufficient fuel for engines with power outputs or rail pressures greater than can be supplied by the new S2 HP units we offer, typically these are charged engines with rail pressures of 4 bar+ and outputs of 350+
Units can be converted to support engines producing over 1000bhp.
We have the experience of converting over 200 of these units with various outputs over 10 years without issue.
This IS a professional, reliable conversion. This IS NOT a Walbro pump fixed in place with a piece of rubber pipe job!
Consequentially the units have: -
1. An improved refill system, which goes a long way to reducing starvation issues experienced during sustained left hand cornering.
2. An improved sound signature.
3. The elimination of bleed back starting problems.
The above problems are caused by unsuitable pump selection, just swapping the pump and not converting the unit and/or poor installation as well.
Upon receipt units are thoroughly checked over for damage and suitability for conversion. If tested as suitable, units are completely stripped out, thoroughly cleaned and re-checked for micro cracks remembering the substance that will leak through the unit’s top if damaged is fuel vapour!
During examination any damage or indications that something else may be a problem is noted and reported back to the owner.
The electrical system is completely replaced. A new uprated E85 connector terminal with a Viton seal is installed into the unit, the harness is replaced with a professionally made uprated harness designed to work with the high amperage loads of the new HP or VHP pumps. These may be up to 18A
Pump selection is made after consultation with the owner regarding current and expected fuelling requirements based on output and/or boost pressures. Once this is confirmed the pump, sound absorption components and a new high pressure output pipe are installed. The sender is cleaned correctly to avoid damage to the substrate tracking and re-fitted to the unit.
Both tracking arms are checked and reset for tension as required.
